BASIC TO INTERMEDIATE PISTOL COURSE

This course is designed for new and less experienced shooters.  Deciding to "GO" concealed or open carry places great responsibility on the shooter such as knowing their legal rights and responsibilities, coping with religious, moral & ethical values, psychological impacts, weapons security & retention just to name a few.  This course allows the shooter to review the basic fundamentals and refines their skills & confidence in their abilities and weapon so the shooter can "Drive-the-Gun" more effectively and accurately.

Required Experience:  None
Prerequisites: 18 Years of Age or older & No felony or domestic abuse convictions!!!

Course Curriculum:
  • Firearms safety review
  • Legal rights & responsibilities, religious/moral/ethical values, psychological  effects and impact discussion
  • Shooting fundamentals
  • Draw / Holster static drills
  • Reloading drills
  • Malfunction clearing
  • Target acquisition & shot placement
  • Cover vs. Concealment
  • Live fire target engagements single to double static
  • Precision shooting
Required Equipment:
  • Sidearm with holster
  • Eye & ear protection
  • Up to 3 magazines or reloads
  • Appropriate range clothes
  • Wet / cold weather gear (if applicable)
  • Fluids & hydration system
  • B.Y.O.L. (Bring Your Own Lunch)
  • Note book & Pen
  • 200 rounds of ammunition (Not included in course fee)!!
